About the projectTrnava Park Shopping Centre is a supermarket anchored, regional shopping and leisure destination planned to be built in two phases. With its super-regional access and location off the major highway of Slovakia - D1 connecting the whole country between Bratislava and Kosice, Trnava Park Shopping Centre is located south-east of Trnava, one of the most attractive and economic regions in Slovakia. Phase 1Phase 1 of Trnava Park Shopping Centre consists of 28,000 sq m of net leasable retail area and will be anchored by retail giant Tesco, with a supermarket measuring 4,500 sq m. The 100 additional retail units will bring in the most reputable international, European and local brands already existing in prime shopping centres across Slovakia. Phase 1 will also include a leisure centre and a bowling alley. Situated directly adjacent to an existing retail park, containing Baumax DIY Superstore, Storeland and Sconto furniture, the scheme will benefit from 1,350 surface level car parking spaces. Neighbouring retailers PSA Peugeot Citroën car manufacturing plant, as well as the major employer of the region, currently employing 4,000 staff, contribute to the critical massing necessary for a shopping location and over-all shopping experience. Phase 2Phase 2 consists of over 10,000 sq m of net leasable retail area, comprising further 40 retail stores, and is expected to begin upon completion of Phase 1. The Centre is planned to be open in 2012, with planned expansion of additional phases by 2016. |
