Trnava Park Becoming a Reality
Parker Green International began preparatory works for the construction of the Trnava Park Shopping Centre in December 2010.
Trnava Park Shopping Centre will be strategically situated in the extraordinarily profitable location between the car-works PSA Peugeot Citroën Slovakia, the city centre of Trnava and the area of the Baumax home improvement shop.
With Phase One of Trnava Park Shopping Centre taking up an area of more than 28 thousand sq m, the background for the supermarket will be created, along with 90 retail shops and 1,354 car parking spaces. The opening of the first phase of Trnava Park Shopping Centre is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012.
“The catchment area of the Trnava Park project comprises approx. 570 thousand people, creating tremendous potential for the future shopping centre”, said Eddie Cull, Retail Director of Parker Green International.
The first Phase will include the Tesco hypermarket anchor taking up an area of 4 and a half thousand sq m and retail premises for 90 more brands. Trnava Park Shopping Centre will also house premises for leisure time activities, such as cafés, restaurants or a cinema.
“The first project stage amounting 40 million Euros is financed by a consortium of the banks Slovenská sporiteľňa and VÚB. It is the highest credit of this kind granted in Slovakia in this year, proving the confidence of the financial sector into the potential of this project”, Eddie Cull added.
Following the completion of the second and third phases of this development, Trnava Park will become the largest shopping centre in Slovakia. This project will create approx. 1,500 new jobs and following the completion of all construction stages of this complex, the total investment will reach approximately €100 million.
